Banana Blossom Cafe serves delicious homemade baking, cabinet food and an authentic Malaysian menu. We strive to please all customers with healthy and fresh dishes with a selection of vegan, dairy free and gluten free options.

We serve locally roasted Excelso coffee and have excellent baristas. We offer all alternative milks including soy, almond, oat and coconut. Our specialty lattes include spicy chai, sweet chai, dandelion and chicory root, turmeric and matcha lattes. We also serve super healthy homemade smoothies, including berry berry, turmeric and spirulina green smoothies. We have all flavors of thick shakes including vanilla, chocolate, caramel, strawberry and banana.

Our most popular home baking items are super chocolaty brownies, big American chocolate chip cookies, big American, chewy, gluten free cookies, and date and orange, gluten free walnut loaf with our special in house orange essence.

We love feeding our local CBD workers and tradies. They have voted our filo chicken wraps, pulled pork chimichangas, creative, yummy pockets and healthy salads the best in the CBD. Our cabinet offerings are quick and yummy, which is exactly what our customers have asked for.

We offer all of the traditional breakfast dishes including salmon eggs benedict, a big breakfast, a chefs choice omelette and blueberry pancakes. In addition, our spicy loving customers enjoy our Mexican breakfast wrap and Malaysian chilli cheese scrambled eggs.

Banana Blossom Cafe is the only Malaysian restaurant in the Bay of Plenty and our well traveled customers tell us that we have the best Malaysian food in New Zealand.
